I Love Hot Garbage

Bi-Indoushi Miija, otherwise known as Mija Beautiful Demon in English releases (the French get the much cooler name of Princesse Demonia) is one of my favorite pieces of hentai media. It doesn't necessarily have a good story or good dialogue, certainly doesn't have a good dub, and even the animation is spotty. Despite all of these drawbacks, I think is is one of the better pieces of corruption media in hentai. 

The reality is that a lot of hentai is garbage. I love garbage. I'm like a horny raccoon, digging through the Mount Everest sized trash heap of the internet, delighting in all the little bits and pieces I can find with my grubby little paws. 

Other Notable Raccoons

Look folks, there are works I review that I think are genuinely good. The story and characters are interesting and a lot of effort has been put into them. Then there is a trashy hentai made for cheap two decades ago. I can enjoy both and so can you. 

That all being said, sometimes garbage isn't all that it seems. Occasionally the desperate housewife threw out her wedding ring with the moldy leftover lasagna from three weeks prior and then told her husband it was accident, making sure to get a good whiff of some onion peels beforehand so the tears seem real because she's done, FUCKING DONE, but she can't get divorced yet. What would Karen say? WHAT WOULD FUCKING KAREN SAY?  

What Would Karen Say?

All of a sudden, you're digging through coagulated tomato paste and rotten noodle blankets and all of a sudden: SHINY! The point is that you can find great elements of corruption in even the silliest, most dated, most awkward pieces of media. The key to being a good corruption artist/writer is to mine these elements as if they were uranium, and then refine them so that you can drop a nuclear bomb on your audience. 

The Plot

The setup for this hentai is pretty simple: a sex demon by the name of Miija (Mija?) arrives on the campus of St. Moses Academy, a swanky private school, intent on introducing the students to "the pleasures of the flesh". Next we are shown some of the students under Miija's control before getting started with the main plot. 

The plot of the hentai follows two threads. The first revolves around a slightly dorky brunette ingenue named Mayu. Mayu is informed by her friend Miwa that a horned demon has been terrorizing the school, but is told not to worry - the demon only goes after cute girls. If you can't tell, Miwa is kind of a fucking dick. 

Mayu dismisses this as ridiculous. She's got a good head on her shoulders and doesn't buy Miwa's crap. Then another girl comes over, introducing our b-plot. Apparently one of the girls' teachers is out on maternity leave and as such, the school is bringing in a substitute. 

The substitute is a woman by the name of Sara Tadashina. She seems like a mild-mannered sex-ed teacher, but in reality she is an operative for this hentai's version of the Catholic Church. Sara is undercover to try and stop Miija. This seems pretty straightforward at first, but as the hentai progresses, you realize Sara is uniquely incompetent at dealing with Miija. She does not seem to have any combat training, her knowledge of the occult seems limited at best, and she isn't even a good teacher, so her cover sucks too. Remember: Raccoon Mindset. Push through until you find the wedding ring of desperate suburbia. 

The plot becomes interesting when Mayu accidentally trips so hard she falls into another dimension. Miija's dimension. The unconscious young woman draws the attention of the sex demon, who strips and inspects her new prey. 

We learn that Mayu is a virgin, a fact that excites Miija to no end. The demon awakens the sleeping girl and promises to "help her", by awakening the lust within. Mayu reacts exactly as you would expect by freaking the fuck out. She proceeds to beg the demon to let her go. Surprisingly, this does not work and instead, Miija casts a spell on the schoolgirl. A bright red pentagram appears on Mayu's belly and her eyes grow blank as pleasure overwhelms her. Now under Miija's influence, Mayu relaxes and kisses the demon. Unbeknownst to Mayu, the demon brings her penis to bear. Oh yeah, by the way, Miija has a penis. So this is also technically a futanari hentai. 

We then get a scene showing Kotaro, a boy harboring a pretty big crush on Mayu, waiting at the gates to the school. He desperately wants to ask Mayu out, but he keeps chickening out. He watches in alarm as the school janitor locks the gates of the school with Mayu still inside. 

Next, we return to Mayu and Miija. We see that things have escalated from first base to third base between the two with Mayu eagerly sucking the demon's cock. Miija seems intent on giving Mayu a full sexual awakening. She prattles on about giving the young woman a gift and awakening her "epicumia". I don't know what the hell an epicumia is - my best guess is that it is a fancy word for sex drive. 

Eventually, things come to a head as the demon busts in Mayu's mouth. The girl dutifully swallows as much as she can manage, but apparently the demon is excessively fertile. It gets to be too much and the rest spills onto Mayu's face and chest. 

This is where things get really interesting. The red pentagram appears on Mayu's belly once more. The girl then gasps in shock as her small breasts rocket into a pair of healthy double-ds. This transformation is one of the best I've seen in hentai. The young woman's breasts pulsate and then surge forward. Her pink nipples then swell in size, becoming fully erect. The sound design is great too. Mayu's high pitch whimpers overlay the sound of stretching flesh. It's an intense moment. 

The now busty, very horny young woman then begs for Miija to take her. Miija teases the girl at first, telling her to not be hasty, but eventually goes hog wild. The demon takes the young woman from behind and we get to see several scenes of Mayu's nascent breasts bouncing and jiggling. This middle scene is the highlight of the hentai. We get to watch Mayu's sexual awakening at the hands of Miija in lavish detail, seeing her transform from a shy, prudish nerd to a voluptuous sex maniac. It's all downhill from here, folks. 

Once Miija has finished banging Mayu to her black heart's content, we get a scene of Mayu at home masturbating. Apparently, contact with the sex demon has left the girl uncontrollably horny. This is another good scene as we watch Mayu explore her transformed body and indulge in her new urges. 

The scene also helps to cement Mayu's changes by placing them in a new context. We see Mayu in her bedroom, separate from the sex demon but still transformed. It's a nice bit of continuity that helps to deepen her transformation. 

The story jumps to a few days later. Mayu is still in her magic induced haze. She's quiet and distant. The hentai even goes so far as to show the young woman masturbating in class while her professor lectures in the background. All of these strange behaviors worry Mayu's friends, especially Miwa and Kotaro. 

I have to say, it is a bit strange that Mayu's friends notice that she is acting weird, but never seem to comment on her developing a rack that would make your average Playboy centerfold blush. This is especially odd with respect to Kotaro. If I were a high school boy and my crush suddenly grew three cup sizes, I would certainly notice. Who knows, maybe Mayu's school uniform covers those puppies up. 

The story eventually reaches a finale when Kotaro follows Mayu into Miija's realm in hopes of saving the girl. This quickly backfires for the young man when Miija incapacitates him and then mind controls him with the same powers she used on poor Mayu. Luckily for the pair, Sara Tadashina arrives and manages to flail her way to an awkward victory against the demon.

The Different Degrees of Corruption

Often times, corruption in erotic stories leans towards radical, inhuman transformations. People become mutants or demons or whatever other strange and fantastic creature you can think of. The corruptions are extreme and represent a complete loss of humanity. 

However, works like Bi Indoushi Miija prove that corruption can take other forms as well. Mayu is never transformed into a demon. She doesn't even turn evil. Instead, her corruption is softer and more human. The nerdy, prudish beanpole is transformed into a voluptuous, sex-obsessed babe. Mayu loses her virginity and her innocence to the demon and is transformed in the process. 

Not everything has to be over-the-top. Sometimes, a more personal corruption that explores a character or emphasizes the subtle changes works just as well. 

On Consistency and Coherence

While I do love this hentai, there are some aspects to it that bug the hell out of me. The biggest revolves around how Mayu is transformed. We first see Miija cast a magic spell which causes a pentagram to appear on the girl's belly. This causes her to become passive and sexually aroused. Then we see Miija ejaculate on Mayu. The demon's semen absorbs into Mayu's skin, causing the pentagram to reappear. Then Mayu's breasts expand. 

Did the semen alone cause this? Does this happen every time Miija has sex with a woman? It would seem so, but in the second episode of the hentai, Miija has sex with a girl and the girl's breasts do not grow. So is it the combination of the semen and the magic spell? Is it just the magic spell? Did Miija simply will for Mayu to transform into a busty hottie? 

I explained that ambiguity can work well for a corruption work in the Harriet Cooper review. This is often times true, but that ambiguity has to serve the purpose of keeping the viewer hooked on the story. When the basic rules of the story's world become ambiguous, it can be confusing and frustrating to an audience.

One of the aspects of Harriet Cooper that makes it a great work of corruption is the system it establishes at the beginning of the first chapter. If a magic user has sex with a sex demon three times, they will transform into a sex demon themselves. Knowing these rules helps to build tension throughout the story as we watch characters slowly ratchet up their counters. 

Now I do not want to give off the wrong impression. If Bi Indoushi Miija had just vomited the rules to Mayu's corruption in exposition, the story would not have been better off for it. However, I wish the hentai had put more effort into showing a coherent system of magic and corruption. The ambiguity is a bit frustrating. Then again, I nitpick these things, so take my words with a grain of salt. 

In Conclusion

As far as hentai goes, Bi Indoushi Miija gets about as close to a true corruption story as any I've seen (with a few notable exceptions). The story is hokey, but the parts it gets right it knocks out of the park. If you haven't checked it out, I suggest watching it.
